I'm in a performance league (non-PPR) and have been offered Ben Roethlisberger for Rashard Mendenhall. I have Donovan McNabb and Joe Flacco as my QBs, and my other RBs are Adrian Peterson, Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell. He has Tim Hightower on his roster, so is Roethlisberger and Hightower for Flacco and Mendenhall a good trade for me?

Honestly, Arnold, I don't see any reason why you need to make this trade.

If anything, I see QB as a position of strength on your team. You have a solid No. 1 in McNabb, who's coming off a ridiculous 450-yard, two-TD outing, and a very good No. 2 in Flacco, who has struggled lately but has shown loads of potential. I'm not sure that adding Big Ben to the mix really does much for your team except make choosing a starting QB more difficult from week to week. I like your QB situation as is.

As for Mendenhall, I see him as your best RB outside of Peterson, so trading him off would definitely weaken your backfield. Thomas has lots of upside but isn't getting consistent carries, and Bell is basically a handcuff right now. Even if you got Hightower in the trade, you'd still be hurting your team by making this deal. I say stand pat and go with what you've got.

HELP!
Please pick two WRs (PPR) from this list: Roddy White vs. NYG, Hines Ward vs. KC, Sidney Rice vs. SEA or Greg Jennings vs. SF?

— Murray, Chicago

This is a tight decision, Murray, as you have a wealth of talent at wide receiver.

The first guy I'd recommend is Ward. He's basically been a reception machine this season, catching at least six passes in six different games. He also has four TDs this year, and going up against a Chiefs pass defense this week that has allowed 14 scoring passes, I could see him catching at least one more. The matchup is too good to leave Ward on the bench.

For your other spot, it comes down to White or Rice. That's pretty much a toss-up to me, but I'll give the nod to Rice because he's simply been on fire lately and has the more favorable opponent. While White faces a top pass "D" in the Giants, Rice gets the Seahawks, who rank in the bottom half of the league against the pass. It doesn't hurt that Rice just had a monster 7-201-0 outing on Sunday and has 136 or more yards in three of his last four games. It wouldn't be a mistake to start White, but I'd play the hot hand in Rice.
