Jacksonville rookie WR Jarett Dillard was placed on injured reserve today with a broken ankle. Dillard sustained the injury on a seven-yard reception early in the second quarter of Sunday's 24-22 win over the Jets.
Dillard, a fifth-round pick out of Rice, had six receptions this season for 106 yards. WR Nate Hughes, a second-year player in his third stint with the team, will take Dillard's spot on the 53-man roster. Hughes caught three passes for 15 yards in Jacksonville's first two games before being waived and signed to the practice squad Sept. 23.
