The Jets announced they waived CB Ahmad Carroll on Monday. He was deactivated in the team's previous two games before the club deemed him expendable.
Carroll, a fifth-year veteran, played in six games for the Jets this year and recorded three tackles after making 20 tackles in 16 games last season. The 26-year-old was selected 25th overall by the Packers in 2004, but he has not made a start since 2006.
The Jets lost to the Jaguars, 24-22, on a last-second field goal in Week 10 and have lost five of their last six games.
