The Dolphins are likely to be without RB Ronnie Brown when they travel to face the Panthers in a Thursday-night contest.

Brown sustained a right ankle injury in the third quarter of Miami's win over the Buccaneers on Sunday and reports indicate he left the locker room after the game hobbling with the aid of crutches. X-rays on the ankle came back negative and he might have just suffered a sprain, but word is he will need to sit out at least one game to recover.

With Brown sidelined, Ricky Williams is expected to become the triggerman in the team's "Wildcat" offense. It's unclear who will fill Williams' role in the formation, however.

Brown had 12 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown before he was injured in Week 10.
