The Cowboys will be without starting FS Ken Hamlin, who suffered a high ankle sprain against the Packers, for 3-4 weeks.

It is not clear who will replace Hamlin.

Alan Ball, a converted cornerback, is one likely candidate, but his size is limiting. He also is the fourth corner in case anyone there goes down.

Rookie Mike Hamlin hasn't played this season and has been inactive since suffering a wrist injury. Whether he starts or not, he's expected to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Redskins.

The Cowboys also could go with Pat Watkins, an excellent special teamer who has struggled at times in coverage.
