Falcons RB Michael Turner suffered an ankle sprain in the second quarter of Atlanta's loss to Carolina on Sunday and reports indicate he will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

It appears as though he might miss at least a few weeks, though. A high ankle sprain would put Turner on the shelf for quite some time, while a low ankle sprain would be less of a concern for Atlanta.

Turner had nine carries for 111 yards before he was tackled by Panthers MLB Jon Beason and had to leave the game. Backup RB Jerious Norwood has missed the last four games with a hip injury and Jason Sneling, who had 18 carries for 61 yards and a TD on Sunday, is the only healthy running back left on the roster.
