The Ravens worked out PKs Mike Nugent and Billy Cundiff in the week leading up to their Nov. 16 game at Cleveland, but they stuck with second-year pro Steven Hauschka, and head coach John Harbaugh gave him a vote of confidence. However, the sense in Baltimore is that Hauschka's job security is still in question after he missed a potential game-winning 44-yard field-goal attempt at Minnesota in Week Six and a 38-yard attempt that would have cut the Bengals' lead to seven points in the fourth quarter at Cincinnati in Week Nine. Hauschka, who beat out Graham Gano in training camp, has a strong leg, and his kickoffs are superior to those of his predecessor, Matt Stover. However, Stover, now filling in for the injured Adam Vinatieri in Indianapolis, is an accurate field-goal kicker who's proven in the clutch. To date, Hauschka hasn't thrived under pressure, and he'll have to improve in that area to keep the job long term.

PFW has launched its brand-new NFL Draft Newsletter series, with the second issue being released later this month. Produced by PFW's player personnel department under the direction of Nolan Nawrocki, the series consists of four information-packed issues.
