There is far from a consensus among daily team observers looking for the main reasons behind the recent struggles of Jay Cutler, who leads the league with a whopping 17 interceptions. The suddenly very beleaguered Cutler reached a new low as a Bear following his five-interception performance in the Week 10 loss to the Niners — his third extremely shaky outing in three prime-time games so far this season. Some say Cutler simply is trying too hard to make something out of nothing, while others believe the numerous shortcomings in his supporting cast, particularly the Bears' weak ground game, are primarily responsible for his problems. But one factor that hasn't been brought up much is Cutler's mechanics, which, according to one league talent evaluator, "have been awful" as of late. "They have definitely reverted backwards," said the evaluator. "Anyone who studies the tape can see it clear as day."
