Entering this season, no player on the Rams was considered more of a keeper than FS O.J. Atogwe, who had established himself as one of the league's top playmakers. But after leading the NFC in interceptions with eight two years ago and leading the Rams in picks last season with five, Atogwe had only one interception and one sack through the first eight games this season. Is signing Atogwe to a new contract still considered a top priority, considering the marked decline in his production? "Yeah, I think Spags (head coach Steve Spagnuolo) still really likes him both as a player and a leader," one team insider said of Atogwe. "An example is when Spagnuolo asked O.J. to lead a special team prayer on Veterans Day. As for Atogwe being so quiet on the field, I don't know how to explain that. Part of it is that the Rams have trailed most of the time this season, and there just haven't been as many passing downs, which is when most of the interceptions come."

PFW has launched its brand-new NFL Draft Newsletter series, with the second issue being released later this month. Produced by PFW's player personnel department under the direction of Nolan Nawrocki, the series consists of four information-packed issues.
