Frustration appeared to boil over late in the Lions' 32-20 loss at Seattle. TV cameras showed QB Matthew Stafford, who threw five interceptions in the loss, talking late in the game to WR Calvin Johnson, who was turning his head away. Stafford brushed off the moment, saying it was much ado about nothing, but it is clear that this is a delicate time for the Lions. The win over the Redskins that broke the team's losing streak might have given some players a false sense of security because since then things have gone backward. Head coach Jim Schwartz knows that the roller-coaster season comes with the territory and that he's keeping a close eye on his team's emotional pulse. "Morale's always an issue on a football team," Schwartz said. "Emotion means more in football than any other sport. This is a team game, and this is a physical game, so you need emotion. … Our job is to stay resilient. It's our job to see this job through, and we're going to do that."

PFW has launched its brand-new NFL Draft Newsletter series, with the second issue being released later this month. Produced by PFW's player personnel department under the direction of Nolan Nawrocki, the series consists of four information-packed issues.
