DRE Jared Allen has had a Pro Bowl season, and some say he's the NFL's first-half MVP. And DLE Ray Edwards quietly has become a very nice complement on the other side. So where does that leave Brian Robison, a promising pass rusher? Usually on the bench. Robison opened eyes in his first season with 4½ sacks and contributed as a subpackage defender last season. But with Allen, Edwards and DTs Kevin Williams and Pat Williams playing so well, not wanting to come off the field, Robison's snaps on defense have been reduced to sometimes fewer than 10 per game. He responded with his most extended action in the first Packers game with 1½ sacks, showing he still can rush the passer. But for now he mostly works as a 3rd-and-long defensive tackle, splitting time there with Jimmy Kennedy. And more snaps might not come Robison's way until someone ahead of him gets hurt.

PFW has launched its brand-new NFL Draft Newsletter series, with the second issue being released later this month. Produced by PFW's player personnel department under the direction of Nolan Nawrocki, the series consists of four information-packed issues.
