Falcons head coach Mike Smith has been fined $15,000 for his role in a sideline scuffle during Atlanta's win over Washington in Week Nine, according to various reports.
Redskins S LaRon Landry and DT Albert Haynesworth were also fined for getting involved in the incident.
The melee came after Falcons QB Matt Ryan was hit after he stepped out of bounds by Landry. Landry was flagged for the late hit, and CB DeAngelo Hall came to his defense on the Falcons' sideline and jawed with some members of the opposing team. Smith then engaged Hall, and the coach had to be pulled away by Falcons TE Justin Peelle. Haynesworth entered the fray late as he came to the aid of Hall.
Hall played for the Falcons from 2004-07 before being traded to the Raiders in the same offseason Smith and GM Thomas Dimitroff were hired.
