The Buccaneers finally tasted victory on Sunday, but they will be playing the rest of the way without safety and special-teams captain Will Allen and reserve LB Rod Wilson, who were both placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Allen started two games at free safety when Tanard Jackson was suspended earlier this season. He broke his thumb and underwent season-ending surgery. Allen will be a free agent next offseason.
Tampa Bay re-signed LB Matt McCoy and promoted CB Derrick Roberson from the practice squad to fill the vacant roster spots. McCoy has been with the Bucs on and off this year and has appeared in five games. He will contribute mostly on special teams. Roberson is back on the active roster after being released and re-signed to the practice squad on Oct. 20.
