The Redskins' Jim Zorn will be the first NFL head coach to be fired this season, according to readers of ProFootballWeekly.com.
In a recent poll, Zorn was the overwhelming choice of 7,472 readers who participated in the poll, getting 3,761 votes (50.3 percent), easily outdistancing the runner-up, the Raiders' Tom Cable, who received 961 votes (12.9 percent).
Among the other eight candidates in the poll, the Browns' Eric Mangini garnered 893 votes (12.0 percent), the Bills' Dick Jauron received 537 votes (7.2 percent). Trailing the top four vote-getters were, in order, the Bucs' Raheem Morris, the Chargers' Norv Turner, the Panthers' John Fox, the Titans' Jeff Fisher, the Jaguars' Jack Del Rio and the Chiefs' Todd Haley.
Our new poll asks the question: Can the Colts or Saints go undefeated? If so, which one?
Let us know if you think either of these 8-0 teams can match the 2007 Patriots' 16-0 record. The poll can be found on the right-hand side of pages on this site.
