The Saints placed DT Kendrick Clancy on injured reserve Saturday and promoted DT DeMario Pressley from their practice squad to replace him.
Because of a knee injury, Clancy had played in only two games this season and was inactive for five others. Clancy had returned to action last week against Atlanta and recorded four tackles, but he re-aggravated the knee injury.
Pressley, the Saints' fifth-round pick in the 2008 draft, was on injured reserve last season as he rehabbed a foot injury that he suffered early in training camp. He spent the first eight weeks of this season on the Saints' practice squad after being waived at the end of training camp.
