Ravens OLB Jarret Johnson's seventh NFL season may be his best to date. A steady starter for Baltimore in recent seasons, the 6-3, 265-pound Johnson, a fourth-round pick in the 2003 draft, has taken his game to a new level this season, already equaling his career high for sacks (five). Johnson, a defensive lineman at Alabama and also at points of his Ravens career, has settled in at strong-side linebacker, where his bulk is an asset. However, he also has a burst off the edge, which he showed when he closed quickly and sacked Broncos QB Kyle Orton in Week Eight. Johnson, who stepped into the lineup full time when Adalius Thomas signed with the Patriots, is an example of the Ravens' acumen for finding lower-round prospects who fit their schemes and developing them into capable starters. At 28, Johnson is still in the prime of his career, and he is signed through 2011.
