For 13 years, one man locked down the Eagles' FS job. Suddenly, three players are contributing to the hole left by Brian Dawkins' absence. Although rookie Macho Harris grabbed the starting job with a late preseason push, he now has joined Sean Jones and Quintin Demps in a three-man rotation at the position that appears to be the way it will go, barring injury, from here on out. The Eagles will use Harris, Jones and Demps in different personnel packages, so there is no defined starter, although head coach Andy Reid had proclaimed Jones the starter against the Giants even if Harris had been healthy. The team is not down on Harris; instead it is paring down his assignments to best take advantage of his ball skills and not put him in a poor position. Jones is big, perhaps best of the three against the run, and also has a nose for the ball, while Demps might have the best range of the three.

PFW has launched its brand-new NFL Draft Newsletter series, with the second issue being released later this month. Produced by PFW's player personnel department under the direction of Nolan Nawrocki, the series consists of four information-packed issues.
