The Chiefs have claimed WR Chris Chambers off of waivers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Chambers, 31, was released by the Chargers on Monday after being removed from the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. He had been struggling so far this season, catching nine passes for 122 yards and one TD through seven games.
Chambers is the latest in a long line of veteran receivers the Chiefs have brought in since GM Scott Pioli took over. Considering the team's unhappiness with its receiving corps through the season's first half, Chambers could quickly get an opportunity for playing time in K.C.
