After receiving a concussion early in Monday night's game at Washington and not returning, Eagles RB Brian Westbrook was not able to take part in any practice this week. Although he's officially listed as questionable for Sunday's contest with the Giants, Westbrook has not been cleared by doctors yet and is very unlikely to suit up. That means rookie LeSean McCoy is in line to start. Starting against the Chiefs in Week Three, McCoy ran for 84 yards and a TD on 20 carries, so he has proven he can be a reliable option and wouldn't be a bad play this week if you need a running back.

The Colts suffered a pair of injuries in Week Seven that could leave them shorthanded Sunday against the 49ers. RB Donald Brown hurt his shoulder in that one and subsequently sat out the entire week of practice. He's listed as doubtful, meaning Joseph Addai probably will pick up extra carries this week with Mike Hart spelling him on occasion. The bigger concern in Indy is the groin injury plaguing WR Reggie Wayne. Wayne was able to return to a full workout Friday, which bodes well for his chances of facing San Francisco. He's listed as questionable, however, so be sure to confirm his status before starting him. WR Anthony Gonzalez once again has been ruled out with a knee injury.

Owners of Lions WR Calvin Johnson could be waiting until close to kickoff this week before they know the status of their fantasy star. Johnson's bad knee caused him to be very limited in practice on Friday and now has him questioning whether he'll be able to take on the Rams Sunday. "Megatron" is questionable and labeled himself a game-time decision, so you'll obviously want to see what happens come Sunday morning. If he's active, he's worth starting in this favorable matchup. It appears more likely that Detroit will get QB Matthew Stafford (knee) back this week after he practiced each day, but he also is considered questionable.

A pair of talented New York receivers finds themselves on the injury report heading into Week Eight. After missing the past two games with a hamstring injury, the Jets' Jerricho Cotchery was able to take part in limited practices all week and is on track to return Sunday against the Dolphins. He's officially questionable, as is fellow WR David Clowney (ankle), who's also expected to play. For the Giants, WR Mario Manningham surprisingly missed all of Friday's practice with a sore shoulder and has been deemed questionable for Sunday's game at Philadelphia. He said Friday that he thinks he'll play this week, but you'll need to be sure before starting him. If Manningham can't go, rookie Hakeem Nicks would get the start and would be a solid fantasy play.

Sunday's tilt between the Panthers and Cardinals also has wideouts hurting on both sides. For Arizona, Anquan Boldin was limited in practice all week with a nagging ankle injury and is listed as questionable. He was able to play through the ailment last week, however, and is expected to do so again. Carolina is a bit more banged up. WR Muhsin Muhammad (knee) already has been ruled out, as has TE Dante Rosario (knee). Dwayne Jarrett will start in Muhammad's place, but he's a risky fantasy option considering his track record. RB Jonathan Stewart (Achilles) is considered questionable, but he's fully expected to play in this one.

Vikings QB Brett Favre could be without at least one of his key weapons Sunday when he makes his much-anticipated return to Lambeau Field. WR Bernard Berrian was limited in practice this week with a hamstring injury and is questionable to face the Packers. Given the fact that he has been dealing with this injury for weeks, he's not a dependable fantasy option in this one. WR Percy Harvin is also considered questionable after an illness kept him from practicing Thursday and Friday, but he's a safer bet to play and have fantasy value this week. For Green Bay, TE Jermichael Finley (knee) is doubtful after sitting out the whole week, so Donald Lee should start Sunday and isn't a bad bye-week fill-in.
