Jaguars CB Rashean Mathis will sit out Sunday's game in Tennessee because of a broken finger, the Associated Press reports.

The move was not a shocker, seeing as Mathis had missed the entire week's practice after breaking a bone in his left index finger Oct. 18 against St. Louis. He needed surgery to insert a screw into his finger and donned a cast throughout the week.

Mathis tops the Jaguars' all-time interception list with 27, including two this year to go along with 18 tackles and a forced fumble. The Jaguars are expected to start Scott Starks or Tyron Brackenridge opposite rookie CB Derek Cox.
