The Bills announced Friday that they will be without starters DT Kyle Williams (knee) and S Donte Whitner (ankle) for Sunday's game vs. the Texans.
Williams suffered his knee injury during last week's game at Carolina. He will sit out Sunday but then will have a Week Nine bye to rest and heal.
This will mark the second consecutive game Whitner has missed with a bone bruise in his ankle after sitting out two games earlier in the season with a thumb injury. With Bryan Scott (ankle) also likely to miss Sunday's contest, Jairus Byrd and George Wilson are again expected to to start at safety.
Other players that won't suit up for Buffalo Sunday are QB Trent Edwards (concussion), FB Corey McIntyre (knee), TE Shawn Nelson (migraines) and OT Jonathan Scott (ankle).
