The Buccaneers released OG Marcus Johnson on Tuesday after he was arrested for DUI earlier in the day.
Police allegedly found Johnson asleep at the wheel while his vehicle was in the middle of an intersection. According to a police report, an officer noticed clues of impairment, including "a distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage from (Johnson's) mouth" and "a noticeable sway upon standing unsupported." He refused to submit to a breath test.
Johnson, a second-round pick in 2005, played in six games for the Bucs this season after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Vikings. He backed up ORG Davin Joseph for Tampa Bay.
