Jets head coach Rex Ryan said Friday that starting WR Jerricho Cotchery will not play against the Raiders Sunday, marking the sixth-year veteran's second consecutive missed game with a hamstring injury.
Ryan also said that WR Brad Smith and CB Lito Sheppard, who are both nursing quadriceps injuries, will not play.
Cotchery was injured in practice two weeks ago, but played in the Oct. 12 loss at Miami before sitting out the Oct. 18 loss to Buffalo. He didn't participate in team drills this week.
Without Cotchery and Smith, the Jets will rely on Braylon Edwards to step up in a big way and lead the injury-depleted WR corps.
