Colts head coach Jim Caldwell announced Friday that S Bob Sanders is expected to make his season debut against the Rams Sunday. And if Sanders is well enough to play, Caldwell said the 2007 NFL Defensive Player of the year will be in the starting lineup.

Sanders, a sixth-year veteran, missed the Colts' first five games while recovering from offseason surgery on his right knee. It's not known how much he will play against St. Louis.
