The Redskins have turned back to their only real option at quarterback. Jason Campbell was benched halfway through the loss to the Chiefs, but it became obvious that Todd Collins probably wasn't capable of the playoff magic he invoked in 2007 and that at age 37 (he turns 38 in November) he's not getting any better. With Colt Brennan on injured reserve, that pretty much guarantees that Campbell will play out the string, assuming he's healthy. But what about after this season? Whether or not head coach Jim Zorn even makes it through the season, Campbell probably is going to play elsewhere next season. He's a free agent, and a new coach probably will want to bring in his own guy. That means whoever starts at QB next season for the Redskins likely will not have taken a snap with the team.
