Slowly but surely, Steve Breaston appears to have gotten his act back together as arguably the league's best No. 3 receiver after being limited by knee problems entering the season. "He is starting to play really well, although he says it still takes him a while to get warmed up because of the knee," said one daily team observer of Breaston, who quietly had racked up at least 66 yards receiving in every game in which he had played this season entering Week Seven, in addition to steadily improving as the team's primary punt returner. "His touchdown against the Seahawks (in Week Six) was (Larry) Fitzgeraldesque. (QB Kurt) Warner has no problem throwing to him at any time. Not only does (Breaston) have the speed to go deep, he's also very underrated in terms of gaining yards after the catch. Even though he's kind of wispy, he really has a knack for making people miss. He's become as good at it as Anquan Boldin — in a different sort of way."
