After already having lost MLB Brian Urlacher for the season, the Bears’ LB corps has received another blow with the news that starting SLB Pisa Tinoisamoa’s right knee, which he reinjured against the Falcons in Week Six, will require season-ending surgery.

Tinoisamoa tore the PCL in his right knee in the season opener against Green Bay and suffered cartilage damage in the same knee last Sunday night against the Falcons. It remains to be seen who will replace Tinoisamoa in the starting lineup, but the most likely candidate is Hunter Hillenmeyer, who has been out of action with a rib injury but has returned to practice on a limited basis. Other candidates include Nick Roach, who is currently starting in the middle, and Jamar Williams, who replaced Tinoisamoa in the loss at Atlanta.
