The Jets formally ended NT Kris Jenkins' season on Tuesday, placing him on injured reserve, and re-signed NT Howard Green, who was cut by the team on Oct. 17.

Green, a fifth-year veteran, appeared in three games for the Jets earlier this season and made six tackles. He's expected to back up Jenkins' replacement in the starting lineup, Sione Pouha.

Jenkins tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Sunday's loss to the Bills.
