Although the season hasn't reached the halfway point, the Bears decided they have a good thing in QB Jay Cutler.
Cutler and the Bears agreed to a two-year contract extension Tuesday, meaning that the team has its quarterback locked up through 2013. The extension will reportedly pay Cutler nearly $30 million, with $20 million guaranteed.
When the Bears traded for Cutler in April, they assumed the six-year, $47 million contract that Cutler signed as 11th overall draft choice in 2006.
