Bengals DE Antwan Odom will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured right Achilles tendon in Cincinnati's 28-17 loss to Houston in Week Six, ESPN reported Sunday.

“He has an Achilles injury — probably pretty severe — but we won’t know that exactly until they (look at it) further," Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said after the game, according to the Bengals' official Web site.

Odom, who's tied for the NFL's sack lead with Broncos OLB Elvis Dumervil with eight, was injured in the first quarter when blocked low by Texans TE Owen Daniels. He left the game and did not return. The Bengals also lost DT Domata Peko to a knee injury early in the game.

Odom, who has equaled his season-high for sacks in a season, has been dominant at times. He notched five sacks in Cincinnati's Week Two win at Green Bay.
