According to a report from the Washington Post, the Redskins could be without Pro Bowl OLT Chris Samuels for the remainder of the year or longer.
The 10th-year veteran out of Alabama has a condition known as spinal stenosis, which is a narrowing of the spine, and the report states that he may be forced miss the entire year — or even retire — due to his most recent neck injury, a stinger suffered in last Sunday's loss to the Panthers. Samuels already wears a neck brace while playing for extra protection.
Samuels plans to meet with physicians Tuesday to re-evaluate the injury. He also has dealt with significant knee pain all season and has a reputation for being a tough player.
