Aside from Rush Limbaugh, second-year DE Chris Long's continued underachievement has been as hot a topic as any in Rams Nation. More than a few sharp-eyed observers have noticed Long's absence in the starting lineup at the beginning of most of the Rams' games this season, although his playing time in what has become a three-man rotation at the DE spots with James Hall and Leonard Little really isn't any less than it was in his rookie campaign. But while Long entered Week Six in a three-way tie for fourth on the team with 22 tackles with Hall and S Craig Dahl, the inability of the second overall pick of the 2008 draft to register a single sack or takeaway was making it very easy to single him out as a major disappointment. "He's played the run pretty well, but considering where he was drafted, zero sacks are hard to ignore," one team insider said. "He's made plays that have led to sacks and hurries for other players, but he's got to start doing a lot more."

PFW has launched its brand-new NFL Draft Newsletter series, with the first issue now ready for mailing. Produced by PFW's player personnel department under the direction of Nolan Nawrocki, the series consists of four information-packed issues.
