What’s going on with RB Willis McGahee’s workload? McGahee, who worked hard to get back into the Ravens' good graces in the offseason after disappointing in 2008, was a major part of the offense in September, scoring six TDs and getting at least 14 touches in two of Baltimore’s first three games. And though he carried just seven times in Week Three, he scored twice. That’s why it was very surprising to see him get so little work in Week Four (five carries, one catch) and Week Five (one carry, one catch). Head coach John Harbaugh suggested McGahee’s lack of touches would be a non-issue if the Ravens hadn’t lost the games in which he was used sparingly and said McGahee would be seen on the field “plenty” in the weeks to come. Also, RB Ray Rice's fine play in the losses at New England and vs. Cincinnati undoubtedly contributed to McGahee getting fewer carries than he had earlier in the campaign.
