It's been hard to predict which defense will show up for the Seahawks. After shutting out the Rams in Week One, the "D" struggled during a three-game losing streak before recording another dominant shutout in Week Five against the Jaguars. A source close to the team tells us, "In the week of practice leading up to Jacksonville, defensive coordinator Gus Bradley got back to basics and revisited some of the first things they put in, trying to concentrate on doing 'less stuff better,' and preaching turnovers." The result was Seattle's best performance yet, giving it two of the four shutouts in the NFL this season while forcing two fumbles and five sacks. "The players really liked it, rookie LB Aaron Curry in particular (Curry recorded nine tackles, a sack and a forced fumble)," said the source. "It allowed him to play more on instincts and think less. It also got to a point where all the players said it had become a feeding frenzy, 'OK, that guy just made a big play; now I'm going to make the next one.' And you could see it with the pass rush."
