The Buccaneers signed WR Yamon Figurs on Tuesday, according to reports.
Figurs, a third-year veteran, spent the first three games of the season with the Lions and made one catch for seven yards. He played for the Ravens in the first two seasons of his career and contributed mostly as a return specialist.
Bucs head coach Raheem Morris was critical of his receiving corps for dropping passes in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, and Tampa Bay conducted tryouts for five free-agent receivers on Tuesday, including former Jaguar Matt Jones and former Giant David Tyree, who signed with the Ravens on Tuesday.
Bucs WR Michael Clayton dropped three passes on Sunday and has not played well after signing a five-year, $23 million deal in the offseason, but Figurs, who was a teammate of No. 2 QB Josh Freeman at Kansas State, isn't a threat to his spot in the starting lineup.
