Former Colts and Buccaneers head coach and current NBC analyst Tony Dungy broke his silence on Tuesday and addressed rumors that the Bucs might be preparing to offer him a job.
A report Monday indicated the Bucs were considering asking Dungy to take on a role as a consultant, executive or assistant for head coach Raheem Morris. Dungy was the head coach in Tampa Bay from 1996-2001.
"I have had no contact with the Bucs and have no interest in doing anything other than what I am doing," Dungy said in a statement released by NBC Sports. "I love working for NBC Sports and my goal right now is to get better at my new job."
The Bucs are 0-5 and will host the 1-3 Panthers on Sunday.
