According to our most recent poll, readers of ProFootballWeekly.com have made it clear that WR Steve Smith of the Giants has been the most impressive breakout performer this season, in their opinion.

The question asked, "Which breakout performer has impressed you the most?" Smith received 1,280 of 3,910 votes (32.7 percent). Following him were Ravens QB Joe Flacco with 816 votes (20.9 percent), Jets QB Mark Sanchez with 518 votes (13.2 percent), Bears WR Johnny Knox with 458 votes (11.7 percent), Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker with 393 votes (10.1 percent), Bengals RB Cedric Benson with 308 votes (7.9 percent) and Bengals DE Antwan Odom with 137 votes (3.5 percent).

We thank everybody who provided input on this last poll, and encourage all of you to chime in on the current poll: "Does the addition of WR Braylon Edwards make the Jets Super Bowl contenders?"

Smith won't have that type of game this week. With Eli hurt it will be a predominatly running game. Jacobs and Bradshaw will take up the slack and I hear Danny ware will be back. If Carr takes over in the second half or if the Giants have a big lead look for more passing. Barr has a better relationship with Manningham than smith.
