Where's Walter? Nine-time Pro Bowl OLT Walter Jones has undergone two operations on his left knee in the past 10 months and has not played in a game since Week 13 of last season. After the team announced that Jones will not practice again until after the Seahawks' bye Oct. 25, we hear there is growing concern Jones might not be able to contribute at all this season. "There is a chance he won¹t even play this season," a daily team observer told PFW. "Right now, he's in a bit of a holding pattern; he hasn't been able to practice regularly due to the pain in his left knee, and if the pain does eventually subside, it will still be some time before he gets back into playing shape." Confusing matters even more, we hear, is Jones' kidney condition that prevents him from taking anti-inflammatory medication. Out of respect for Jones, head coach Jim Mora is likely to go out of his way to keep from placing the future Hall of Famer on injured reserve. But the way we hear it, Mora might not have a choice.
