Chase Blackburn is a capable reserve who will fill in for starting WLB Michael Boley, who is expected to be out the next four weeks following arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Blackburn's strength, though, lies in his run-stopping ability, and one of the reasons the Giants signed Boley was for his quickness in space and his pass-coverage ability. Meanwhile, Bryan Kehl, who has been an ace on special teams this season, might be a more intriguing option after this week's game. Kehl either will be limited or might not play at all after having two screws inserted into his broken finger. It's too bad because the team appeared very intrigued with Kehl's development and his work on special teams, believing he has an athletic edge over the serviceable Blackburn. If Kehl can show he's healthy after Week Five, he could slide into Boley's spot for a game or two until the starter is ready.
