Coming off his best game of his short Giants career, LB Michael Boley likely will have to sit for a couple of weeks to rest what is being called a sore knee that apparently got worse on the team's plane ride home yesterday.
Head coach Tom Coughlin acknowledged Boley's injury but gave no timetable for his return. Various reports have said Boley likely will miss more than one game.
The team is undergoing further tests on Boley's knee to determine the severity. He was seen walking around the team's facility Monday on crutches.
Boley had a terrific game at Kansas City on Sunday, with five tackles (four for losses), a sack and two passes defended.
He missed most of the preseason witha hip injury and then was forced to sit out Week One with a prior suspension.
Boley could be replaced with frequent sub Chase Blackburn or Bryan Kehl, who has been a special-teams standout.
