Cowboys S Gerald Sensabaugh could be out up to a month following surgery to repair a broken plate in his right thumb.

Sensabaugh had a plate implanted after breaking his thumb in college. He cracked the plate during Sunday's game at Denver, a 17-10 Cowboys loss.

Dallas coach Wade Phillips said Monday that while Sensabaugh is out Patrick Watkins rwill remain in the lineup as Sensabaugh's replacement.
