The Bears announced Monday that DL Israel Idonije, who came up with a key strip-sack in the team’s 48-24 victory over Detroit, underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Bears head coach Lovie Smith said he wasn’t sure if Idonije would be able to play in the Bears’ next game Oct. 18 in Atlanta.
Also on the injury front, Smith said he believed WRs Devin Hester (shoulder) and Johnny Knox (shin) and LBs Hunter Hillenmeyer (ribs) and Pisa Tinoisamoa (knee) all should be good to go vs. the Falcons. He wasn’t so sure about reserve RB Adrian Peterson, who suffered a knee sprain vs. Detroit.
