Moving forward without Laurent Robinson — the Rams' most effective wideout before suffering a fractured fibula in Week Three that will require surgery — daily team observers' best guess is that second-year pros Donnie Avery and Keenan Burton will be the No. 1 and No. 2 WRs, respectively, with newcomers Danny Amendola and Ruvell Martin likely to share the No. 3 role. Three of the team's five wideouts at this writing were undrafted — Amendola, who played in his first NFL game in Week Three; Martin, who at least has some experience (three years with the Packers); and Nate Jones, who was promoted off the practice squad. "Have you ever seen a NFL wide receiver corps with so little pedigree?" asked one longtime daily team observer. "Robinson was at least making some things happen, catching a TD pass and seeming to develop a decent chemistry with (QB Marc) Bulger before going down."
