The Falcons' pass defense isn't their most glaring problem — that honor goes to the run defense — but it was ranked 22nd heading into the team's Week Four bye and the team's lack of confidence in its corners has made Atlanta more cautious about blitzing. We hear Tye Hill, who was acquired from the Rams for a 2010 seventh-round pick on Sept. 1, is being closely evaluated for man-to-man duties and could see more playing time following the bye. Hill was deactivated for the first three games of the season and has not played in a regular-season game since Sept. 28, 2008, when he suffered a season-ending knee injury, but he has been given plenty of time to adjust to the Falcons' scheme and it's time for him to prove whether he can be an asset for the remainder of the season. There is clearly room for improvement, although CBs Chris Houston, Brian Williams and Brent Grimes have done a decent job.
