Seahawks head coach Jim Mora said in his news conference Wednesday that the team was not planning on playing either QB Matt Hasselbeck or OLT Walter Jones this Sunday against the Colts. Hasselbeck continues to feel the effects of the fractured rib he suffered against the 49ers two weeks ago. Jones, meanwhile, reportedly is still feeling pain in his surgically repaired left knee.
Hasselbeck will be replaced for the second week in a row by Seneca Wallace, who threw for a career-high 261 yards in the Seahawks’ 25-19 loss at home to the Bears in Week Three. Jones will again be replaced by Brandon Frye, who injured his groin against the Bears but is expected to be able to start against the Colts.
Other players who have been injured but are expected to be able to play this Sunday, according to Mora, are CB Ken Lucas (groin), MLB Lofa Tatupu (hamstring), OG Rob Sims (oblique) and FS Jordan Babineaux (neck).
