The Steelers re-signed FB Carey Davis on Tuesday. He replaces rookie RB Frank Summers, who was placed on injured reserve with a back injury.

Davis, who was waived as the Steelers cut their roster to 53 players in September, played 30 games for Pittsburgh from 2007-08, starting 10. He has carried 29 times for 103 yards and has caught 17 passes for 76 yards in four NFL seasons.

Davis, 28, has also notched 22 special-teams tackles in his career.
