So you want to add Eagles QB Mike Vick, eh? Give it a week. See how the Eagles use him. The word is that he'll be on the field for about a dozen plays on Sunday, and if he averages, say, five yards a play, either passing or rushing, is that good enough for your team? As a starter, no. I am sure he'll end up on some benches, though, if he shows anything. The question you have to ponder is: How much will he play when Donovan McNabb is healthy.

QB Jason Campbell suffered a foot injury against the Rams and played well despite it, even running for a few first downs, but the Redskins struggled to get into the endzone. Even with a matchup against the Lions looming, Campbell and Redskins skill-position players are not considered plus-grade plays until they show something first.

Any concerns about Kurt Warner's fantasy prowess should be put on the back-burner following the Cardinal QB's record-setting Week Two outing in Jacksonville. In addition to setting a new NFL completion record (24-of-26 passes for a completion percentage of 92.3), Warner threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns. He looked like the Warner of last year completing his first 15 passes, but he was feeling the effects of a right shoulder stinger suffered in Week One when he was removed from the game in the third quarter and replaced by Matt Leinart. Warner has been fully participating in practice this week and should be good to go against the Colts on Sunday.

Bears QB Jay Cutler could pick up this Sunday in Seattle where he left off last week, when he rebounded from an ugly four-interception season-opening debacle against Green Bay with a greatly improved effort (104.7 passer rating, 236 passing yards, two TDs, zero interceptions) against the defending Super Bowl-champion Steelers' highly regarded defense. It might help that Cutler will be going up against a really banged-up secondary that will be missing CB Josh Wilson with a high ankle sprain. Seattle was already short-handed at cornerback with Marcus Trufant still on the Physically-unable-to-perform list (back).

Play Rams QB Marc Bulger only if you have absolutely no other alternative. Off to a very so-so start, Bugler won't be helped any this Sunday by the fact he will be protected by a nicked-up O-line, with first-round ORT Jason Smith out with a knee injury, and will be going up against a Green Bay defense that figures to be mad as hell after regressing significantly against the Bengals at home last Sunday. Did we mention that there could be more Packers fans in the Edward Jones Dome than Rams fans?

As poorly as the Texans' defense has been playing, the Jaguars' David Garrard cannot merit fantasy consideration. Garrard has gotten off to slow start for the second straight season and is working with a young, inexperienced receiving corps and behind a porous offensive line with rookies starting at both OT spots.

The Bills' Trent Edwards makes for an intriguing sleeper start against the Saints. Buffalo's offense has been one of the most pleasant surprises in the young season, moving the ball well through the air and on the ground. Furthermore, New Orleans still has a lot of defensive work to do, which is status quo for the long-time beleaguered unit. However, the Bills' offense has numerous injury worries. Starting ORT Brad Butler and No. 1 TE Derek Schouman are out for the year with injuries sustained last week, while C Geoff Hangartner, No. 2 TE Shawn Nelson and rotational WRs Josh Reed and Roscoe Parrish are all banged up.

It hasn't taken the Jets' Mark Sanchez long to make his rookie mark. The composed signal-caller is looking a lot like the Falcons' Matt Ryan did as a rookie last year. Although Sanchez has just two touchdown passes, he's developing a better rapport with his weapons every day, and it should only be a matter of time before he puts up fantasy starting-type numbers. The Titans' pass defense has been absolutely terrible, ranking last in the league when many figured it would be among the NFL's best.

Making his first start as a Chief last week, Matt Cassel looked shaky, throwing for 241 yards and a TD but also tossing two picks. Heading into a hostile environment in Philadelphia Sunday, Cassel could be in for some trouble. Even though the Eagles were torched through the air last week, they already have six interceptions and seven sacks this season, and they figure to be sending guys at Cassel all game long. Multiple turnovers are likely, so keep the K.C. QB benched this week.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco (497 yards, five TD passes) has a good matchup against a struggling Cleveland defense on Sunday. His value is soaring after two strong starts to begin the season.

Bengals QB Carson Palmer's three TD passes in Week Two came inside the red zone, and he also scored on a one-yard run. Yes, Palmer has been a little erratic early this season, but he's rounding into form, and he was very sharp close to the endzone last week. It's hard to see him having a huge day vs. the Steelers' stout defense in Week Three, but Palmer has had success vs. Pittsburgh before, and no matter how he fares, his best football could be ahead of him.

Take away Chris Johnson's 69-yard TD catch on a blown coverage by Houston last week and Titans QB Kerry Collins threw for just 145 yards and one score against a suspect secondary. In other words, Collins is, at best, a backup option in the vast majority of fantasy leagues.

Matt Hasselbeck said he absolutely hopes to play Sunday when the Bears visit Qwest Field despite fracturing a rib last week in San Francisco. Still, this would be a good week to get your backup QB some time because, in all likelihood, Hasselbeck will not be as effective just seven days after this type of an injury if he plays at all.

The Patriots are allowing 161.5 passing yards per game, which makes them the sixth-stingiest pass defense in the league, but they've allowed three touchdowns and have yet to pick off a pass. Matt Ryan and the Falcons' offense will be the most talented group they've faced yet. Start Ryan as he returns to the area where he played in college.

Byron Leftwich has been a pleasant surprise thus far and popped up as a popular waiver-wire pickup for owners looking for a decent backup recently. He should be on the bench this week, though, against a Giants' pass defense that is ranked fourth after picking off Tony Romo three times in Week Two.

Jake Delhomme bounced back nicely after a disastrous season opener, completing 25-of-41 passes for 308 yards, one TD and one interception. He's still a decent backup QB option for leagues of 12 teams or more. He's going to have his share of bad games, but he'll play like he did in Week Two more often than not.
