No team experienced more bad luck with injuries in 2008 than the Seahawks, and it seems their misfortune is continuing early in ’09. After starting the season with a makeshift offensive line and losing WLB Leroy Hill and MLB Lofa Tatupu in Week One, five more starters were lost in Week Two. Among them is CB Josh Wilson (high ankle sprain, out 4-6 weeks), who was calling the plays in the secondary. Team insiders tell us Kelly Jennings will be called upon to fill the void left by Wilson, and that more nickel packages could be in the offing with FS Jordan Babineaux shifting to linebacker and either Lawyer Milloy or CB Travis Fisher — who is back in the mix after early-season hamstring problems — shifting into the nickel-back position. Word is the team is confident it won't have to bring in reinforcements as it waits for Wilson to return, as well as No. 1 CB Marcus Trufant (currently on the PUP list, eligible to join the active roster after the team's sixth game).
