The Texans have fined CB Dunta Robinson $25,000 for writing "Pay Me Rick," a reference to general manager Rick Smith, on the shoes he wore last Sunday vs. the Jets.

Robinson held out for the entire preseason to express his displeasure with receiving the franchise tag earlier in the offseason. He signed his one-year, $9.957 million contract before the opener vs. New York and started at cornerback.

Robinson, 27, has missed 12 games in the last two seasons because of knee and hamstring injuries suffered Nov. 4, 2007 at Oakland. He is widely regarded as the Texans' best cornerback.

Houston has several major decisions to make in the months ahead, as Robinson, MLB DeMeco Ryans and TE Owen Daniels are all seeking lucrative long-term deals.
