CB Dunta Robinson plans to end his holdout and report to the Texans on Sunday, The Houston Chronicle reported Saturday.
Robinson will sign the one-year, $9.957 million contract tender he received as Houston's franchise player in the offseason, the Chronicle reported. He sought a long-term contract in the offseason to no avail. If Robinson passes his physical, he's likely to play a key role in Houston's secondary Week One vs. the Jets.
The Texans cut 22 players on Saturday, including veteran CB Deltha O'Neal, who started 10 games for New England last season. Houston also released QB Alex Brink, LB Khary Campbell, CB A.J. Davis, LB Buster Davis, FB Jonathan Evans, RB Arian Foster, TE Clark Harris, FS Brandon Harrison, C Brett Helms, FS Brandon Harrison, CB Brett Helms, DE Tim Jamison, WR Darnell Jenkins, OG Adrian Jones, DT Josh Harrison, DE Jesse Nading, CB Mark Parson, CB Matterral Richardson, WR Mark Simmons, OT Adam Stenavich, OT Brandon Torrey, LB Toddrick Verdell and OT Cliff Washburn.
